At the end of 2008 I resigned from my fulltime job to fulfill my dream of running my own online business thereby achieving a work, life balance. That dream quickly became a nightmare when suddenly everything I tried failed. I struggled from 2008 - mid 2011.
My kindle publishing journey begun at the end of June 2011 when I watched a free webinar online on kindle publishing. I decided to open a kdp account and apply what I had just learnt on the webinar. I put up some plr eBooks I had on my hard drive and that week I sold a few copies (Back then plr books were allowed but not anymore). I was convinced this "kindle publishing thing" works! I begun to upload as many books as I could and my sales kept increasing exponentially.
In January 2012 I bought a Kindle course and applied what was taught. Just when my account was about to take off my account got suspended because I had plr titles. All my titles were blocked and I had to start all over! Armed with the right information from that Kindle course I made double the income in two months than I had ever made on kindle with fewer quality original content titles!
In June 2012 one of my ghostwriters gave me a plr report which they said was original content and I uploaded the book to kdp not knowing I had been deceived and again my account was threatened with termination.
In September 2012 I woke up one morning to find my account had actually been terminated with no explanation. It took a miracle - literally to have my account reinstated!
I never gave up because giving up on Kindle Publishing was not an option for me!
Fast forward to 2014, I have had my kindle books downloaded 451,463 times across all my titles across all Amazon Kindle stores for the period January 2012 - September 2014 and I have now sold 2,396+ copies of my Kindle Publishing Training Courses on other platforms outside of Udemy in the last ten months.
