Email Marketing Course - Email Marketing Tutorial for Bloggers

Section 1: Email Marketing: The Beginning Of Trust Lecture 1 07:32

In this course you're going to learn how to build and maintain a great email list.  An email list that will not only provide you with traffic, but, also a lifetime of sales.

This course will show you how to do all of that in a swift but learn-able pace.

Lecture 2 04:43

This lessons covers the basics of what you're hoping to achieve with email marketing.

The main things that email marketing addresses for you are:

+Creating a list of contacts

+Build traffic to your blog

+Build sales with automated funnel -Ultimate Goal

These 3 tings are probably the most important aspects of email marketing.

Watch the video for more.

Section 2: Setting Up Your Email List Lecture 3 02:56
To be able to do any sort of email marketing you need an email auto-responder service.

A service like that allows you to build and maintain and email list as well as set up email to run on autopilot through what is called an auto-responder.

You need to get Aweber

>>> Get it here for just $1 <<<<br>
Aweber is a very inexpensive online service that helps you build an email list and auto-responder.

Aweber is cheap, efficient and they offer amazing support if you ever have a question pertaining to their service.  Keep in mind I have tried around 10 other email services online and nothing has delivered what Aweber has for me.

Lecture 4 08:13

In this lesson you'll learn how to plan what you want to give away to entice readers to subscribe to your email list.  People like free stuff and in this case it's not a physical product.  You're simply going to be giving away information that will follow some brief guidelines.

Without this step you won't really know what to build your email list around.

Keep in mind the freebie must...

+Pertain to your niche

+Make sense to your list

+Must help them, entertain them, offer them deals or educaes them for the best results

Lecture 5 15:13 In this lesson you're going to create your first email list.  Without an email list you can't collect emails obviously, so this lesson is critical.

Though your list will start off at "0" by getting traffic to your website you'll start watching your email list grow.

Lecture 6 14:05
Next, you'll need to create a welcome email to welcome your subscribers to your list.  A welcome email should be used to remind people what they are getting and also give a briefing about who you are, in case they have forgotten.

Make sure to also view the email examples lesson to see a welcome message example.

Lecture 7 15:23

In this lesson you are going to create your webform.  A webform a.k.a. "opt-in form" allows people to join your email list.  In this lesson I'll show you how you can do this and make it look professional without hiring someone to do this.

Here are some sites you can view opt in forms at.

http://michaelsbrown.com

www.fool.com

These are just a couple of examples but, you can see how they work.  Note: www.fool.com changes their form and techniques quite often but they are one of the best in the business.

Section 3: Writing & Relationships Lecture 8 13:51

Writing good emails will help you secure traffic, make you look like the expert that you are and secure more sales.  So why not take the time to make sure you are following a few simple rules.

Know the parts of an email.

+ Subject line

+ Body (which contains a greeting) reinforces the subject line

+ Closing which includes a sign-off, signatuare and an unsubscribe link below the signatuare (done automaticaly)

Each email must contain these elements.

Inside the body you can include affiliate links, links to your own products or anything else you'd like to share with your audience.

A couple rules of thumb to make your life easier.

How Often Should An Email Be Informative Compared To Promotional?

80/20 or at worst 70/30.  Yep, only sell stuff 20-30% of the time.  I     unsubscribe from anyone who treats me like a statistic.  If I feel like I am a dollar sign, I am out.  I feel, many feel the way I do.

Give great content in your emails and only sell part of the time -- super trust builder.

A good subject line piques the readers curiosity and interest.

In the video I give some good examples of this.

The body should always remind or reinforce the subject line.

The closing will automatically be added for you as we set this up earlier.

How Long Should An Email Be?

The shorter th better!  Oh, you like that don't you?  :)  Here's why.

People have short attention spans and the faster you get your point across the better.  Just make sure you thoroughly discuss your subject!

Spacing in your emails is important.  Break up big pragraphs to make it easy for your audience to read it.  You're not writing a book here, you're providing information that your reader wants to digest -- make it easy!

Proper spacing also does something else; it makes your LINKS stand out.  Obviously, you want people to click your links so this is an added bonus.

Follow the above and reinforce your knowledge by watching the video.  Writing good emails can make the difference between 10 sales and 100 sales.

Lecture 9 12:33

Now it's time to script out your email series.  Remember having a full functional automated series is the goal.  The will become your sales machine while you are busy doing other things like growing your business or spending time with your family.

It's not as hard as it might sound and you'll probably want to start by doing the following:

Create 7 topics to discuss in your emails.

Make 2 of them promotional emails and the rest informative emails.

Next, create a folder on your desktop called whatever your niche is +emails.  So if you're in the cat grooming niche it would be Cat Grooming Emails.

Watch the video lesson for more details.

Lecture 10 03:12

Sometimes you'll want to send an email out to your entire list without it being part of your autoresponder series.  We call these broadcasts.

These types of emails are great when you encounter any of the following:

+You have a time sensitive offer to send to people

+You want to promote something to a mass audience all at once, rather than dripping it out

+You want to drum up some sales on a faster basis

Broadcast are created just like all other emails and should follow the sam basic rules for creating a good email.

I send 2-3 broadcasts to some of my list weekly.  Some people send 1 daily, which you could, just remember the 80/20 promotion rule and you'll be in good shape!

Quick task:  Create a broadcast to sen to your list and send it out.

Lecture 11 10:53

Building a relationship with your readers and email list members is vital for long term sales.  This is something that most people skip ding and as a result their results are minimal.

You don't want to do the bare minimum.  You want to flourish and grow your business -- so please pay attention for this part.

I highly suggest watching the video first:

Here is a recap of the video.

+Answer blog comments/questions

+Answer all emails

+Ignoring communications makes people think that you do not care about them

Also make sure to get yourself on social media like:

+Facebook

+Twitter

+Google+

+LinkedIn

+Youtube

You do not need to use them all but pick a couple that you'll be a star on.

+Acknowledge good readers publicly

+Interact publicly with your list members on social media

+Email is a start but interaction is key

Task: Setup any social media accounts that you want to interact with people on.

Make sure to occasionally funnel people from your blog, email list into social media for the best results.

Lecture 12 11:30

Sometimes it's possible for your emils to become slightly boring or stagnent.  This video will help you break up much of the daily boring grind and spark some more life into your list.

It's not hard, but, it's something that you may want to pay attention to.

Section 4: Closing, Growing & Resources Lecture 13 08:52

Testing is critical for increasing your success.  Most people skip testing and I believe they are missing out on a lot of money.

The 3 things you need to test are:

+Opt In Conversion Rates

Test various headlines, colors and styles of opt-in forms for the best results.  After testing several kinds thn choose one that is bringing you the best results.

+Time of day to mail.

Certain times do better in different niches.  While my list might enjoy getting mail at 6 PM EST your list might perfer 9 AM EST.  Test, what times get you the best open and response rates.

+Subject lines.

If you're not getting a 4-10% open rate you need to come up with some better headlines.  If I get a low open rate I look at my subject line and try to connect wth my audience more in a follow up email.

Adjusting and testing these 3 areas will help you increase your success.

Watch the video to hear the presentation on this.

Lecture 14 Text From time to time you'll want to check your stats to see how many subscribers you have, as well as some other information.
Lecture 15 Text A common occurrence in email marketing is to get SPAM complaints.  Before we begin, don't panic!  These are normal, but, I am going to show you how to keep it down.
Lecture 16 2 pages

These are some various samples of emails I've actually set to my list.  Obviously, you'll be in a different niche so you won't use these exactly.

Just keep in eye out for how I personalize my emails, and use my own writing style in every email.  You'll want to do the same.

Lecture 17 Text This is a list of Frequently Asked Questions that will give you a better understanding of what to and what not to do with email marketing.
Lecture 18 02:03

You are awesome!  This is your goal; to get here.  After this lesson it's time to enjoy growing ad building your list.

Lecture 19 Text This is just sample of resources that I recommend you check out or that are mentioned throughout this course.
