Before you make a start you need to plan how you are going to structure your site and make sure you have everything ready to go like a logo and paypal account.
One thing that isn't mentioned is planning to Drip Feed (releasing pages over time) . If you want to do this you need to consider two limitations of OptimizeMember Drip Feed is for pages only and the time starts from your first registration date for any product. So if you have more than one product drip feeding will not work for the second product.
If you only have one product then you will need to split content into pages based on the date they will become available.

It is possible that your members will see the standard wordpress login especially when they registered initially. By default it has an OptimizePress Logo. This quick video show you how to change it.
One of the issues I had with OptimizeMember sites is that the welcome email ends up in the spam folder. It contains a lot of !!!!'s and isn't that useful.
Additionally the email asks you to register but you may already have done so. Again confusing and adds to support workload.
