Hi this is Tamal Anwar Chowdhury, better known online just as Tamal Anwar. I'm a young (20 something) online entrepreneur from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I love drawing and I have a good eye for design. When I was in school I started designing tee-shirts for my friends. From my early teenage years I had this entrepreneur spirit and I just wanted to be in my own business. I started my own design shop and designed tees for others. It went well but not for too long.
After trying my luck in a few different offline businesses I learned about the internet. I learned how to design a website on Microsoft front page. One of my friends who knew a lot about internet told me to design a website. I designed one but it never saw the green light. From that day I had the dream of having my own internet site published online.
In 2007 I got the internet connection and from day one I was learning how to setup and publish my own internet website. I had no money + no way to pay online since my country didn't had e-commerce back then. So I started with a free web platform.
After that I launched my first website and learned how internet sites work. This site failed but I never stopped learning. I built a new website, this time it was a blog. And I earned money from that blog.
Fast forward to present day, I'm a blogger. I have a couple of blogs where I cover topics ranging from blogging, internet marketing & money making opportunities. I am a web designer. I design professional looking websites for my clients, and I also provide internet marketing related solutions.
I also teach web related stuff one on one via Skype video chat. I love making videos on these topics and post them online. I love learning tech stuff. I learn from various resources and then I use them on my own. After that I make videos/tutorials which will be easy for newbie people and make them as You-Tube videos or online courses.
I work from home full-time. I love this lifestyle where I work for myself and I work with whomever I want. I was never held in a job and I am proud of that.
My dream job is to make films. I have tons of story ideas that I would like to present to the world. I like to make movies and make my country known for this. This is why whenever I get some time I dive in to learn about film making process & work on some projects.
When I am not working, I am fond of my family my siblings and my parents. I love to spend lots of time with my family. I love to watch movies, TV shows, and crack jokes with them. All my friends have come and left but my family was always there with me.
I love myself very much, more than anything else, and I really care more about people over things. I like to improve myself every day whether it is diet, exercise, a new skill, knowledge or anything else that challenges me.
I love to play games. My favorite game is the GTA (Grand Theft Auto) series. I play any game that I can find but my preferences are action & arcade.
I also love movies. I love action movies from Hollywood and Bollywood. I love to watch movies when I am in the mood. My favorite films are Terminator 2, Saw Series, 3 Idiots, Munna Bhai Series, and Jab We Met. My favorite film makers are Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Michael Bay, and Christopher Nolan from Hollywood. In Bollywood my favorite film makers are Shankar, Rajkumar Hirani, Imtiaz Ali, and Farhan Akhtar.
I went to business school and got degree in business management. I dropped out from college because traditional education was not cutting it. I decided to self learn and continue my education online through various sources like You-Tube, Inbound Marketing University, Code Academy, Digital Analytics Academy and others.
Although I am from business school, I also love science. I like the universe, quantum physics, and electronics. Whenever I find an opportunity, I learn. Currently I am saving money for my film projects + further online education.
At the moment I am living at my mom's house and in the future I would like to move to my own place.
