11 Tweaks to Turn Your Business Website Into a Money Machine

My goal in this training is to remove the barriers keeping you from building a thriving online business. And show you how easy it can be. Im going to share some of the biggest mistakes Ive made and the lessons Ive learned from living and breathing this stuff over the last 3 years. I want to break it down for you, to make it really possible for you to breakthrough regardless of where you are in your business or what kind of technical expertise you have.

How cool will it be when:

- your website begins to convert visitors into subscribers and fans and customers and cash flow at a much higher rate than before, pretty much on auto-pilot, without your involvement.

- every time you post new content, you see a rush of engagement, which means new people naturally start to discover you through social media, search engines and referrals.

Ive watched some of my students 10x their engagement, opt-ins and sales simply by replacing what DOESNT work with what DOES.

Most people think of design as art or ornamentation -- the process of making things look good. But design is really the art and science of guiding attention where you want it, so you can turn visitors into subscribers, fans, clients and cash flow on every single page of your site.

And for you to do that well -- for you to convert a lot of visitors into subscribers and clients -- for you to really lead your audience -- you need to be able to grab, hold and guide their attention.

But... theres a problem that gets in the way. I'll tell you what it is and how to solve it in this first module.

Most people approach their website navigation all wrong. Theyve got like 10 buttons stretching out across the page, with all these additional drop-down menus with 30 more options. In this module I'm going to show you why having too much choice can actually paralyze your visitors, and the science I've discovered behind how to intelligently offer less options in a way that "forces" your visitor to engage and take the action you want.

Social Media has gotten kind of a bad rap in the online business world mostly because people arent getting results using it. The reason is theyve gotten bad advice that doesnt work and wasted a lot of time with social media without seeing a return.

That's because they're focusing on the wrong thing. There's a hidden payoff in Social Media that I'll explain to you in this module and by the end you'll be astounded at how useful Social Media can actually be for your business and website.

There really is a zen mentality when it comes to getting awesome conversions. And in this module we're going to focus on how to tune your words, message, images, layout, and media around helping your site do its most important job - converting a visitor into a lead, sale or repeat customer.

Too many people build "brochure" websites that stay the same, day after day, month after month. So theres no reason for their audience to come back. Its kind of like been there done that. I didnt need that then and I dont need it now.

Theres nothing fresh, nothing new. Nothing to inspire a one-time visitor, to come back to your site and engage with your content a second, third, fourth time and beyond.

So their site kind of gets stale. Its like a ghost-town without activity or engagement.

Thats where fresh consistent content comes into play. Your content builds your audience. Your content pulls your audience back to your site over and over again, where they can deepen their relationship with you, and build trust over time.

30-40% of your visitors will get to the end of your Home Page without taking any action. What will be there waiting for them?T here might be some legal text at the bottom of the page but nothing to really grab attention.

So they reach the bottom of your site and they bounce. They leave and they never come back.

While your footer may seem insignificant at first glance, it actually plays a really important role in catching a huge percentage of your browsers, funneling them back into your site, your content and your universe so you can have another go at hooking 'em.

Every businesses focuses on attraction. On getting people in the door. But good businesses also focus on conversion -- getting people to take the action you want. Truly great businesses? They understand that its all about consumption.

Once someone signs up for something with you, its really important that they consume what theyve just signed up for, so they can get the solution or transformation you promised. Thats what turns new subscribers into fans, customers and most importantly repeat customers.

So the best place to start encouraging consumption is right on that confirmation page, and here's how to really get it performing.

If you sell any kind of 1:1 or high-end group offerings such as coaching, consulting, speaking or done-for-you services, the first step to enrolling new customers is usually getting a prospect on the phone to see if its a fit.

One of the fastest ways to fill your coaching, consulting, speaking or service business is to do more free initial consultations with qualified prospects. 9 times out of 10, business don't have a good process in place to turn visitors into prospects by getting them signed up for a free discovery call.

So - to help you out -- in this module we walk through the best ways to optimizing your website to get more of the right people on the phone with you, so you can grow your client-base from your existing traffic.

While having a healthy ego is important to success, you can overdo it. Theres only so much you can say about yourself and how awesome you are before people tune out and stop believing you. Thats where social proof comes in. Its much more powerful to let other people say how awesome you are, then to make these claims about yourself.

Many traditional websites, relegate social proof to a single testimonials, case studies, or success stories page on your website. Or they just throw them in randomly in the sidebar without really correlating the testimonials to specific content on the page.

In this module, I give you some great examples of how to strategically weave testimonials throughout your site to support specific call to actions or sales events.

Reports show that between 40-60% of all web traffic now comes from mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets. Thats amazing! Its just amazing to me that we can do so much from these portable devices we stick in our back pockets?

It's a tremendous opportunity to reach people you never would have reached before! But there's a dark side. If you built your site 2-3 years ago, like I did, it probably wasnt designed to be mobile-friendly and you could be losing 50% of your website visitors.
